A board certified ophthalmologist has undergone 4 years of additional residency training after graduating from veterinary school. He/she then completes a rigorous certification examination resulting in board certification. He/she has the knowledge, skills and specialized medical equipment required to effectively treat all types of ocular conditions for your pet.
